Cape Town,
South Africa
We arrived
April 3, and stayed over night. The
sunrise this day was amazing, and we passed Robben island. Unfortunately I did
not bring the camera, so you just have to take my word for it.
We had lots
of warnings before we came, about how dangerous Cape Town is, but where we went
it was very good. However, one lady got her purse stolen, another one her visa
card was snapped by a man standing behind her in the line up for the ATM
machine, and another one got the mobile phone stolen at a nightclub. Message is
clear, be careful where you go, and keep your eyes open. Happy to say that we
felt safe and good, weather was warm, and we started with taking the shuttle to
Victoria Wharf, a really nice complex close to the harbor.
From there
we went on the “hop on hop off” buses, heading for the Table Mountain and the
cable cars.
The line up
seemed endless, so Adam and I took the bus down again.
The next
day we went up in this big wheel.
We went to
visit the aquarium, and surely had a great time.
The aquarium also had some words of wisdom to share..
All in all
we had a very nice visit to Cape Town, and would be happy to come back one day.
