Today the
ship is visiting American Samoa; Pa(N)go Pa(N)go, if you click the link
above you can always see where the ship is
There time
zone is 12 hours behind Norway, and the will cross the dateline February 7.
For the ship
it is called "the day that never was".
For us the
day that never was will be February 9 as we fly to Auckland. We will leave
Hawaii February 8, fly for 9 hours to Auckland, and arrive Februray 10.
We are
really enjoying Hawaii, but more than anything do we want to be together with
the rest of the family so we are counting down when to leave
from here.
Yesterday it
was really rainy, but it is this nice warm rain that doesn`t make you freeze,
it just leaves the air clear and fresh.
We had
breakfast at the cheesecake factory, if you like cake (and I love it) you have
to try!
Rest of the day we mostly walked
around.
Inside a mall was an open class were
you can learn how to play Hula Hula on ukulele
We had our nails done by some very
nice Vietnamese women. They stand in the main streets with a sign, and then
walk you to their location
It was really interesting to talk
with them, as they had lived in Hawaii for more than 30 years.
According to them Hawaii have crime,
drugs and prostitution like any other places, but nobody likes to
talk about it, as it can take down
the tourist industry, which most of the population get their income from.
Still, we have to say that this is
not visible here for us as tourists, we feel safe and welcome wherever we go.
We continued our day with shopping….(it
was raining after all) and Ala Moana is the world’s largest open air shopping
center.
And it is in a walking distance from
our hotel
We are trying not to have too much fun,
since it is still painful for Helene to laugh
Today it is not raining, but quite
windy, so we might just rest at the hotel with a book.
