We arrived
in Brisbane February 18 and originally we all had tickets to go to Australia
Zoo and Wildlife hospital. Daniel needed
a stronger cast to his broken arm, after the swollenness went down, so Rafael
and me took him to;
Excellent
treatment again, and they let him choose the color of his cast. He wanted yellow….
One of our
highlights with Australia was our expectations to see koalas and kangaroos, so
we are thankful that the hospital didn`t let us wait too long, so that we could
go to;
The first
we seen here was something Daniel thought was a statue. We later discovered
them all over the park just sitting here and there.
Our time in
the park was very limited so we headed directly to the kangaroos, and felt so
happy that we were allowed to walk among them and feed them;
They are beautiful,
and so gentle. Our next stop were the koalas. They are so cute. It was an
option to hold the koala and have your picture taken, but we skipped that since
it would be too much of a challenge for Daniel being able to use only one arm…
The park
has lots of other animals too, but we had to head back for the ship, since it
was an early departure. Just to get reminded of Australia`s wildlife, this one
is not IN a cage, he is just living his life in his web outside the parrots
cage…
It was a
warm day, and as we left the park we seen a snowball fight….they said it`s the
only way they can have one in Brisbane
From the
taxi back Rafael took this picture
We wish we
could have had some more days to explore Brisbane, but maybe next time
